Shukri Siyad is the Manager of Tayo Translations. She is a professional translator and transcriber with more than five years of experience. Before Tayo Translations, Shukri worked as the principal translator for Somali Public Agenda. She completed her bachelor's degree in political science at City University of Mogadishu and received a diploma in English language. Shukri is interested in writing and research. She has completed International Network for Advancing Science and Policy (INASP) online courses related to writing skills including: Academic Writing Skills, Influencing Policy with Your Research, and Research Writings in the Social Science. Shukri is enthusiastic about digital marketing. She has successfully finished certificate courses on digital skills including: Google SEO fundamentals from Coursera, Google Ads from Google, and 6-month-long training in Digital Marketing Skills from Simad iLab. Shukri is also a blogger. Shukri speaks Somali, English, and Arabic languages. She is interested in reading books, personal and professional writings, and traveling.
Abdikani is an experienced professional Somali translator, localizer, interpreter and transcriptionist over 5 years of industrial experience. The language combinations he works are Somali, English and Turkish. He is a friendly, result oriented and versatile translator
Mahad Wasuge is the founder of Somali Public Agenda. Mahad is a translation coordinator of Tayo Translations. He worked as a translator consultant for a number of organizations. He has over five years of professional translation experience. Mahad has a bachelor’s degree in Public Administration from Mogadishu University and a Master of Public Administration at University of Roehampton in London. He also has diplomas in Law and English Language.
Abdul-Aziz Ahmed is now a Head of Department, Researcher and Lecturer at Jamhuriya University. He is also Transcriber and Translator at Tayo Translations. He worked as a Research Assistant at Radio Cosmology Lab at University Malaya, Kuala Lumpur. He teaches Electronics, Automation and Power Quality courses at Jamhuriya. He is a cosmology and solar physics enthusiast and a tech blogger for the last 8 years. Abdul-Aziz is now a member of the LTPA Observer Project, National Electrotechnical committee, Conference on Engineering Science and Technology (CEST), Jamhuriya Quality Assurance Committee. He earned his B.Sc Electronics and Telecommunications at Jamhuriya University in Mogadishu and Industrial Electronics and Control at University Malaya in Kuala Lumpur. He has Diploma in English and IELTS certification. His research interests include Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Control Automation, Industrial Internet of things, Power Quality Management.
Liban Abdullahi is a creative designer for Tayo Translations. Liban worked as a graphic designer with one of the most known printing company in Mogadishu for many years. He is experienced in designing logos, books, brochures, reports among others. Liban holds a bachelor degree from Mogadishu University.
